Do you want to sell a gift card via the POS? In this article we explain how to do this.
Step 1: Go to the POS
Click 'POS' in the blue menu. You will then go to the POS.
Step 2: Click the blue 'Other' button
Click the blue 'Other' button. You will then see 'Gift card' appear.
Step 3: Click '+ Add' next to 'Gift card'
You can now add the gift card by clicking '+ Add'. A pop-up will then appear.
Step 4: Enter the amount
First, enter the amount of the gift card.
Step 5: Choose how the gift card should be sent and check that box
You can now choose how the gift card should be sent and check that box. There are three options.
Option 1: Send the gift card to the customer's email address
The gift card will then be automatically emailed to the customer who is checking out now.
Option 2: Send the gift card to someone else
You can choose this if the customer is buying the gift card for someone else. You can then enter the name and the email address of the person who will receive the gift card.
You can also add a message that the customer would like to include in the email. For example: Congratulations on your birthday! Kind regards [customer name]
Option 3: Give the gift card as a physical gift card
You can choose to give the gift card as a physical gift card. The gift card will then not be emailed automatically. You can then write the code and the amount of the gift card on the physical gift card after checkout.

Step 6: Click 'Add'
At the bottom of the pop-up, click 'Add'. The gift card has now been added to the POS.
Step 7: Scroll down in the brown section of the POS and click 'Continue'
You have just added the gift card. Now scroll down in the brown section of the POS and click 'Continue'.
Step 8: Add the payment(s) and click 'Pay'
You have just clicked 'Continue'. You are now on the payment screen.
Choose the payment method(s), add the payment(s) and click 'Pay'.
The gift card has now been sold!
The gift card has been sold! The gift card code is now displayed on your screen.
If you wish, you can add the gift card to the customer's profile. When the customer checks out something later, the gift card will automatically be available and you can select it without having to manually enter the code again.
Did you choose in step 5 to send the gift card to the customer's email address or to someone else's email address? Then the gift card will now be automatically sent to that email address.
