The difference between regular discount codes and dynamic discount codes
In addition to regular discount codes as you know them, you can also create dynamic discount codes within Salonround. Here we explain the difference.
Regular discount codes
These are discount codes that you can create and adjust yourself. You can share these discount codes on social media, for example. You can also set how many times each code may be used.
Example: It is winter and you want to give your customers a 10% discount. You can then create the discount code WINTER10. You can share this on social media, for example.
Dynamic discount codes
Dynamic discount codes can be created when creating a newsletter or an automated marketing email. Dynamic discount codes are unique codes that are generated for each recipient of the email, which means that each customer receives their own code.
Example: You want to automatically surprise your customers with a discount code on their birthday. You can then create an automated marketing email that is automatically sent on the customer’s birthday. You can add a dynamic discount code to this. The customer will then receive a personal, unique discount code.
How do you create a regular discount code?
Click on "Add discount code"
You can now choose the following things for the new discount code:
Code
Here you can choose what the code is that customers can use, for example WINTER10
Percentage
Choose the discount percentage, such as 10%
Available quantity
Here you can choose how many times the discount code may be used in total. For example, do you want the discount code to be used a maximum of 50 times? Then enter 50. You can also select that the discount code may be used unlimited times
Valid from
Here you can choose from when the discount code should be valid. You can also choose that the code is valid immediately.
Valid until
Choose here until when the code is valid. You can also choose that there is no end date.
Status
You can set the code to active or inactive here.
Where should the discount code be valid?
Here you can choose where the discount code should be valid. The options are:
- POS and booking widget
- Webshop (if enabled)

Click on "Add discount code"
How do you create a dynamic discount code?
Create a newsletter or an automated marketing email
Fill in the details and click on "Save and start designing"
Choose a template or start from scratch
Click anywhere within the design. The "Add block" button will then appear

For each discount code that you create, you can choose where it should be valid. The options are:

How can the customer apply a discount code in the booking widget?
When a customer schedules an appointment online, the customer can easily apply a discount code on the last page of your booking widget. As soon as you check out the appointment in the POS, the discount code entered by the customer will automatically appear in the POS.

When a customer places an order in your webshop, the customer can easily enter a discount code on the last page. The discount is applied immediately and the customer checks out for the reduced amount.
How can a discount code be applied in the POS?
Go to the POS
Enter the code under "Discount code"
Click on "Apply".
The discount will then be automatically calculated by the POS.
