Review requests: how it works

With the Salonround Reviews Suite, you can automatically collect reviews. In this article, we explain everything about it.


Set up and use review requests

You can set up reviews in the Salonround Reviews Suite. You can find the Salonround Reviews Suite under "Marketing".


1. Choose how you want to collect reviews

In the "Settings" section within the Salonround Reviews Suite, you can choose between the following options:

  • Do not send review requests
    If you choose this option, customers will not receive review requests

  • Salonround Reviews
    If you choose this option, customers will be asked to leave a review within Salonround Reviews. You can then manage your reviews within Salonround. You can display them on your website, receive a notification within Salonround when you receive a review, and respond to the review via Salonround.

  • Google Reviews
    If you choose this option, customers will be asked to leave a review on your Google Business Profile.

  • Trustpilot Reviews
    If you choose this option, customers will be asked to leave a review on Trustpilot.

  • Facebook Reviews
    If you choose this option, customers will be asked to leave a review on your Facebook page.

You can choose one of the options and click "Save".


2. When is a review request sent?

After checking out an appointment in the register, the customer automatically receives a review request. This is the moment when the appointment is completed.


3. Exception for a specific customer

Do you want a specific customer to not receive review requests? You can easily disable this in the customer profile.

  1. Find the specific customer and click "Edit"

  2. Go to "Details"

  3. Click on "Edit customer details"

  4. Set "Send review requests" to "No"

  5. Click "Edit details"


4. Notification for a new review

This only applies to Salonround Reviews

As soon as you receive a new review, you will get a notification in your calendar. The bell icon will then turn green. You can click on the notification and view the review in the Salonround Reviews Suite.


5. Responding to reviews

This only applies to Salonround Reviews

You can respond to a review via Salonround. Scroll to the review within the Salonround Reviews Suite and click "Reply". You can then type your response and click "Send".

If you respond to a review, your response will be sent to the customer by email. You can also publish your response on your website. After responding, you can still edit your response, but it will not be automatically sent again by email.


6. Displaying reviews on your website

This only applies to Salonround Reviews

If a customer has given permission to publish their review online, you can display it on your website together with your response.


Step 1: Make sure reviews can be displayed on your website

  • Are you using the Salonround Website Builder? Then simply add the ‘Reviews’ block to your site.

  • Are you using the Salonround mini-website? Enable or disable the “Reviews” page via the settings under “Mini-website”.

  • Do you have another website? Then you can add the code that you find in the Salonround Reviews Suite to your website. If you need help with this, we would be happy to hear from you.

Step 2: Publish the reviews

After you have received a review, you can click "Publish".


7. Overview of received reviews

This only applies to Salonround Reviews

You can find received reviews in the following places:

  • In the Salonround Reviews Suite

  • Per customer on the customer profile under the heading "Reviews"
